今更､知らなかった論文英単語その2

今回は、投稿規定というか
Instructions to Authorsに出てくる単語の理解。

1）ensure
make sure と同じ。公的文書で「安全性・公平性・信頼性などを確保する」の意味。
日本語では、他に既に発表したりはしていないことを保証する、確保するという形で使われる。

2)compiled with the policies
ポリシーに従う。compile 「規則に従う」「法令を守る」「従う」
compliance 「遵守、従うこと」今の日本の「法令遵守」で使われる。
コンプラ違反は日本語になっている。

3) implies　imply
○○ということは、△を暗に伝える。暗示する。ほのめかす、意味する。

4)the jounal’s affidavit
　宣誓供述書　要は、原稿提出時に「まだ発行されていないし印刷中でもない」
と言う書式､正式書類のこと。これに全authorsの署名がいるというもの。
使用例）affidavit of unauthorised use 「クレジットカードを不正に使用された時などに
提出する書類」
まあ、正式な法的な力をもつ宣誓書のようなもの。
宣誓供述書
sign an affidavit 供述書に署名する。
